Incumbent National Party President Peter Goodfellow has been re-elected to the party's board of directors, and is certain to be retained as president.
The board will now vote on the presidency, which will be announced tomorrow, but it is understood Mr Goodfellow has the numbers on the board to remain president.
Earlier today, at the party's annual conference, Mr Goodfellow defended his fundraising record, saying the party's coffers had never been so full in a non-election year.
He only mentioned the campaign to unseat him when he said he would not engage in "petty side-shows".
Cameron Slater, who blogs on WhaleOil, had been leading a campaign to unseat Mr Goodfellow.
Malcolm Plimmer and Roger Bridge were also elected to the board. Alan Towers missed out.
