Four people are in hospital after a crash in Beachlands, southeast of Auckland.

The crash on Whitford-Maraetai Rd just after Okaoro Dr happened at 5.15am this morning.

Those taken to hospital are said to have minor to serious injuries, a police spokesperson said.

Both lanes near the crash site have been since been reopened.
