Four men in court over Taupo teen's death

The four men charged in relation to death of Taupo teenager Wiremu Birch will be back in court today.

The 19-year-old died following an altercation in the town in the early hours of Friday morning.

Three men, aged 23, 27 and 32, were charged with grievous bodily harm and appeared in the Rotorua District Court on Saturday morning.

Police then arrested a 30-year-old man yesterday - he has been charged with murder.

All four will appear in the Rotorua District Court today.

Police still want to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around Rifle Range Road, Hinekura Ave or Hinemoa Ave at the time.
