We have vacancies for the following:
Planting- Wanganui, Wellington, Pongaroa
High lift Pruning – Weber, Wanganui, Whangamomona.
Thinning to waste - Masterton, Wanganui.
Regen Thinning – Masterton.
Training can be done for planting.
Chainsaw work requires 12 months experience and applicants must have modules for thinning 20cm+ diameter trees (or appropriate modules for other silviculture work).
Out of town jobs involve staying on site for the week.
Things you need to know
We drug test. A very high level of fitness is required: i.e. be able to run 10km in 50 minutes and run up the Durie Hill steps & Memorial Tower and back in 8.5 minutes. We drug test. If it rains or snows we work in it. We drug test. No criminal convictions or gang associations accepted. Preference given to experience however a good attitude makes up for a lot. We also have ongoing work in other locations. And we drug test.
