Footage released of police dog's search mission

Auckland Police have released footage of a dog training search mission - from the perspective of the pup itself.

On a long leash, the police dog lopes through long grass and jumps over fences crossing over several deserted-looking properties.

The action revs up when the dog guns for a police dog handler posing as an offender, with a roll of material attached to his arm.

The dog rips the material off the dog handler and takes off with it - restoring peace to all in the world of fake crime.
