Father who fled with daughter still missing

A Wellington man who fled with his seven-year-old daughter following a dispute last week is still at large.

A search was launched for Lau Leota, 41, after he and his daughter Faaulua left her home at Linden, Tawa, north of Wellington, about midnight on Tuesday.

He returned the girl to her home on Friday evening and vanished again.

Police said today they had been following up possible sightings of Mr Leota over the weekend.
