A large tree has fallen across State Highway 1 north of Auckland resulting in traffic delays in the area, police say.
The tree had fallen about 2km south of the Satellite Station near Warkworth and blocked both lanes, but one lane was now open to traffic.
"Motorists will need to
exercise some patience as traffic travelling in both directions will need to utilise the restricted thoroughfare, which will be controlled by authorities until the tree can be removed," police said.
