"All it is, really, is an opportunity for people to bring their dogs to the lake and run them through some pretty simple exercises and have a bit of fun."
The day would involve activities such as run the tunnel and and obstacle course, as well as demonstrations from VETCARE and SPCA Wairarapa.
Spot prizes and prizes for the happiest and hairiest dog would be given out, he said. More food stalls would be on offer this year, plus a ferris wheel for the kids.
Anybody with an interest in dogs was encouraged to attend, Mr Garland said. The entry fee was $5 per person or $10 per family.
