English tourist dies on Abel Tasman kayaking trip

The body of an English tourist who collapsed while on a kayaking trip has been recovered by police.

Police said they recovered the body of a 30-year-old man from Bark Bay, in Abel Tasman National Park, yesterday evening.

The man was with a group kayaking in the park when he collapsed about 7pm and died, police said.

The matter has been referred to the Coroner, police said.
