Driver dead after single-vehicle crash in Te Kamo, Whangārei

A driver is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Church Rd, Te Kamo, Whangārei.

Police were called about 3.15pm and closed the road soon afterwards.

In an update, police confirmed the driver died at the scene.

“The Serious Crash Unit and kaumātua attended and an investigation into the cause of the crash is under way,” a police spokesperson said.

Hato Hone St John’s said: “We received notification of an incident on Church Rd in Kamo at 3.11pm. We responded with one rapid response vehicle and an operations manager. Transportation to hospital not needed.”
