A United Future MP has drafted a bill which would allow courts to order DNA testing to confirm a child's parentage.
Judy Turner's Family Proceedings (Paternity Orders and Parentage Tests) Amendment Bill will have to be drawn from a ballot before it is considered. She said the Family Court had no power at present to order a DNA test even if asked by the possible father.
