A 48-year-old man accused of assaulting a 15-year-old boy at an Auckland skate park may escape conviction.
The incident at Victoria Park took place just over two weeks ago, was posted on the internet and went viral.
Craig Platt appeared at the Auckland District Court this morning.
His lawyer John
Armstrong says he has already voluntarily enrolled in an anger management course.
Police have agreed for the case to be stood down for two weeks while diversion is considered.
