No action will be taken against five District Court judges who visited sex sites on their work computers, says Attorney-General Margaret Wilson.
Ms Wilson made the announcement after meeting Chief District Court Judge David Carruthers this morning.
Judge Carruthers had sought an explanation from each of the judges concerned, Ms Wilson said
in a statement.
"In four of the cases, the access was work related," she said.
"In the other case, the access was of extremely short duration and was accidental."
A scan of Department for Courts computers had also uncovered a sex-site visit by an official who held a warrant, but who was not a judge.
Judge Carruthers was "discussing that issue further" with that official.
"I am satisfied with the information provided by the Chief District Court Judge and I am not intending to take any further action in relation to these judges," she said.
