Diesel spill after crash closes northbound Wellington motorway

Part of State Highway 1 north of Wellington is closed after a three-car crash.

Police said three vehicles collided on the motorway just after 9am. No one was injured.

The northbound lanes have been closed between the turnoff to the Churton Park onramp and the Tawa-Grenada off-ramp because of an oil spill.

Diversions are in place and motorists should expect delays.

Southbound lanes remain open.
