Defence Force called in after possible suspicious package found near Auckland Airport

The New Zealand Post Mail Centre near Auckland Airport was evacuated after a suspicious package was found.

Police said the suspicious package posed no threat ot the public and the incident was quickly resolved.

Police and Defence Force staff had been called to the centre on Laurence Stevens Drive this morning.

The building was evacuated as a precaution and a cordon put in place around the property.
