Great North Rd in Western Springs is closed after a car ran off the road and crashed into a cinderblock wall, seriously injuring one person.
Several bus routes have been detoured on to the Northwestern Motorway with Great North Rd closed between Premier Ave and Motions Rd.

The crumpled car,emblazoned with company branding for DebtManagers, can be seen on the footpath next to a metre-high collapsed wall.
The car’s windscreen was shattered and the bumper had disintegrated, exposing the mangled wheels and engine.
Emergency services took one seriously injured person to hospital.

A tow truck was on the scene.
A police spokeswoman said their serious crash unit had been advised of the crash.
Motorists should expect delays and take a different route, she said.
