Crash, breakdown on Auckland's Southern Motorway creates delays

Motorists heading to work on Auckland's Southern Motorway might experience hold-ups after a crash and a breakdown this morning.

A truck broke down around 8.45am, blocking the Southern Motorway's left lane citybound after Ellerslie.

The NZ Transport Agency advised motorists to move to the right, to pass with care and expect delays.

The crash happened in the citybound left lane at Greenlane shortly after 6am.

The lane was temporarily blocked to allow a tow truck to remove the damaged vehicle.

The NZ Transport Agency urged motorists to allow extra time for travel.
