The Whanganui Community Foundation is looking for a dynamic, innovative, community-minded person to fill the newly developed role of Community Engagement and Grants Manager.
This role will support the Whanganui Community Foundation and its stakeholders bybuilding relationships, leading the implementation of the Whanganui Community Foundation's strategy, managing the grants process, communicating and actively promoting the Foundation's vision and goals. This will be a part-time role of 30 hours per week with some flexibility.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS •Understanding of, and affinity with, the philanthropic sector, local community issues and the not-for-profit environment •Experience in grant-making or non-profit sectors preferred •A track record of successful community engagement and relationship management skills •Experience in working with people from a range of cultural backgrounds •A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable •Advanced technology and office administration skills •Proven ability in analytical, database and reporting skills •Excellent oral and written communications skills, including presentation skills •A clean, full driver licence and access to a suitable vehicle
