Save A 39-year-old Ashburton man has been charged over the hunting death of Jock Davies at Stewart Island earlier this year.
Davies was in a hunting party of nine when the fatal incident occurred about midday on July 6 on the South Lords River hunting block.
Among the group were Davies’
father and brother.
The 21-year-old was farewelled by hundreds of people at a service in his hometown of Tapanui, West Otago.
Davies had survived multiple battles with leukaemia in his earlier years.
