Police are on the hunt for a "skinny" robber who punched a man at a Christchurch bus stop overnight.
The victim was waiting at the stop on Main North Rd, Papanui, about 10pm when the unprovoked attack happened.
"The person at the Countdown bus stop was approached by another forhis phone and wallet and was punched in the face numerous times, receiving facial injuries," a police spokesman said this morning.
An ambulance was called and the victim received treatment for "moderate injuries".
He spokesman said his wallet was possibly taken and police inquiries are underway.
The suspect is described as a male Caucasian, aged about 18. He is five-feet-six tall, skinny, with short brown hair. Last night he was wearing a red and grey jacket.
