Thick fog that cancelled and delayed flights in and out of Christchurch this morning has now lifted.
Hundreds of travellers were stuck at Christchurch International Airport after a thick layer of fog grounded planes.
Air New Zealand flights from Wellington, Auckland and Queenstown were cancelled, while JetStar flights from Auckland
and Wellington have been delayed.
International flights, however, appear largely unaffected.
An airport spokeswoman said the fog lifted about 10.30am and "things are now back on track".
