Peter Carroll's trial for the murder of Marcus Tucker has been abandoned in Christchurch.
Carroll is accused of murdering Tucker in April last year, and leaving him beaten, burned and bound on the shores of Lake Ellesmere.
Yesterday, Justice David Gendall said the case had to be adjourned for "legal
reasons".
Carroll will face a retrial later this year
