Celebrity netball match nears sell-out

Organisers of the Bring it to Colombo fundraiser celebrity netball match have a potential sellout on their hands.

Of 200 stadium seats only 32 remain, while one VIP table out of 22 is left.

Jo Day, in charge of ticket sales, thinks it's amazing.

"I'm really blown away with how many tickets we've sold."

While she is certain it will be a great day she could not confirm rumours former Hurricanes prop Big Bill Cavubati will be wearing a netball skirt when he takes to the court.

"We're trying for it."

It's not too late to buy stadium tickets which will be available until Friday next week, and people can turn up to watch the match from the concrete seats for a $2 gate fee.

The event marks the end of the netball season and funds raised will go to the much-needed upgrade of the Colombo Rd facilities.

Celebrities playing at the event include Art Green and Matilda Rice, former All Whites goalkeeper Mark Paston, Silver Fern legend Sandra Edge and former Phoenix player Paul Ifill.
