A car has slammed into a lamp post and then a tree in Mangere in South Auckland.
Police were alerted to the job on Mascot Ave around 7.40pm, and are at the scene, as are fire and ambulance.
A St John spokesperson says the driver of the vehicle has been
taken to Middlemore Hospital with moderate injuries.
Police have confirmed the driver is female.
A witness in a nearby house says it looks like the woman took the corner at speed - and narrowly missed some children playing at a nearby house.
