Car crash closes part of Auckland motorway

A car crash on the Newmarket Viaduct has closed two lanes of Auckland's Southern Motorway.

Emergency services are at the scene.

Police say a vehicle has collided with a barrier on the left hand city bound lane on the viaduct.

There are no injuries.

A spokesman says it is causing chaos on the road, even though one lane remains open.
