A 22-year-old man has been arrested and is due to appear in court today after a shooting in Porirua.
Police were called after a firearm was reportedly discharged on Dido Pl in Cannons Creek last week.
A person with moderate injuries was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Kāpiti Mana area commander Inspector Renée Perkin confirmed police “arrested a 22-year-old man yesterday.
“The man is due to appear in Porirua District Court today, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm with a firearm, and unlawfully possessing a firearm.”
