Call for GM-free KFC

Greenpeace is calling on fast-food chain KFC to commit to using chickens that are not fed on genetically modified soy.

Greenpeace campaigner Steve Abel said KFC's supplier, Inghams, imported Brazilian soy, which was mostly GM-free, in the high season. But in Brazil's off season Inghams used GM soy from the United States.

He said paying the premium for non-GM soy from the US would cost only about 2c more a chicken.
