Police have released the name of the motorcyclist who died in a crash on SH75 yesterday.

He was 24-year-old Caleb Lawrence Wilkinson of Christchurch.

Wilkinson was involved in a crash on Christchurch Akaroa road about 9.40am.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
