CADET DRAFTSPERSON

RCR Energy is looking for a Cadet Draftsperson to join our increasingly busy Engineering Team, based in our Napier office.

The role requires preparing detailed project and manufacturing drawings for our range of industrial boiler and heater plant by using 3D design software.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in the engineering industry, and this position would suit:

• A Year 12 or 13 school leaver looking for a career in mechanical engineering design
• A trade or diploma qualified person looking to develop their career path in mechanical
engineering design.

Previous experience in CAD (3D and 2D) skills would be preferred but is not essential. Our ideal candidate will also possess:
• NCEA Level 2 including Maths, English, Technology and Graphics.
• Understanding of the principles of Mechanical Engineering drafting / technical drawing.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliable and motivated, with a 'can do' attitude
• Excellent communication skills

The successful candidate will be provided with ongoing training and assistance from our Drafting Manager and his team to develop further in this role.
