A 3-year-old boy seriously burnt after accidentally pulling a pot of boiling water over himself is today stable in Waikato Hospital.
The Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter was called to Opotiki at 1pm yesterday after the boy suffered serious burns to his upper body and face.
He was stabilised at the
scene by St John medics before being flown, along with his mother, to Waikato Hospital for specialist treatment.
A Waikato DHB spokeswoman today said the boy was stable in a ward.
