Renowned international and Kiwi blues artists are coming to Wairarapa to perform at the Jazz n Blues in The Vines festival at Loopline Vineyard near Masterton on Sunday for what is expected to be one of the most exciting lineups yet.
Loopline Vineyard owner Ian McGovern said he believed thisyear's event had been "taken to the next level" with the inclusion of international acts like the Mofo Party Blues Band.
The fourth annual festival also includes established Kiwi blues guitarist Billy TK Jnr and his band the Groove Shakers fresh from a highly acclaimed Australian tour.
The two acts will headline a roster of artists from the UK and New Zealand in a schedule that will include UK Acoustic finger style bluesmaster Lil Ian Goodsman and special guests from the local region and from Auckland.
McGovern said he was delighted with the event's progression in recent years.
"We have had some great events here but have really taken this event to the next level with the inclusion of international acts like the Mofo Party Blues Band from California and Billy TK Jnr," he said.
"The whole program looks incredible as we have great music, a wonderful atmosphere, a selection of food vendors and of course our wonderful wines - we are just delighted with what we have to offer our guests."
The blues event is being held in association with The Sound and The Cross Creek Blues Club.
