Baby dies in driveway accident

A four-week-old baby is dead after a "tragic" accident in a Titirangi, west Auckland, driveway.

Senior Sergeant Matt Rogers told NZPA the baby's parents had pulled into a driveway and were standing behind their vehicle talking when it rolled back.

The woman, who was holding the baby, was knocked over. She dropped the infant, who was then run over.

"It was just a tragic accident," Mr Rogers said.
