Two women charged after alleged Auckland kidnapping outside Botany shopping centre

Two women have been charged after another woman was allegedly kidnapped from outside a shopping centre in an East Auckland suburb.

Counties Manukau East CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Dean Batey said on Tuesday, a woman was allegedly kidnapped in her own vehicle on Chapel Rd in Botany.

Batey said after police inquiries, officers arrested and charged two women in relation to the incident.

He said a 20-year-old and a 32-year-old are due in Manukau District Court tomorrow, facing charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and injuring with intent to injure.
