Dozens of police officers, ambulance staff and firefighters rushed to the incident last night, which spread across a number of streets in MtAlbert as up to 100 people gathered.
Five people were taken to Auckland City Hospital, two in a serious condition and three in moderate condition, a Hato Hone St John Ambulance spokesperson said this morning.
A sixth person “in a minor condition” was treated at the scene.
Police received multiple calls about a large disorder event involving young people on Phyllis St about 9.50pm, Senior Sergeant John Nicol said this morning.
“Early information suggests that a vehicle was driven towards a group of partygoers, injuring two people – one with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries.
“During the wider disorder, at least two additional individuals also sustained moderate injuries. Police are continuing to investigate and work to establish exactly what occurred.”

Witnesses told the Herald of vicious scenes they alleged began after details of the party were shared online and people arrived from other parts of the city, disrupting an event they claimed was fine before that.
A video seen by the Herald showed a teenage girl lying on the ground as other young women punched and kicked her while a crowd watched and filmed.
One young partygoer told the Herald a group arrived armed with machetes, and others said one person had his hand slashed, a young woman was knocked out and two people were hit by a vehicle.
One person at the scene claimed some of those hurt had been stabbed, but authorities haven’t confirmed how all the injured were hurt.

Many of those at the scene were drunk or on drugs, and bottles were being thrown, partygoers told the Herald.
The party was taking place at a Phyllis St house but disorder spread to neighbouring Springleigh Ave, they said.
Broken bottles were seen scattered across the streets after an alleged party got out of hand.

Officers, who’d arrived at the brawl in up to 20 police cars and were supported by the Eagle helicopter from above, also cordoned off an area on nearby Great North Rd in Pt Chevalier last night.
