A man has handed himself in to police after a street stabbing in Henderson.
Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie, of Waitematā CIB, said the victim was found off Edsel St at around 2.40pm yesterday with serious injuries.
Goldie said the alleged knifeman was known to the victim and handed himself
in at the front desk of the Henderson police station last night.
“Police have charged the 45-year-old man with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
“I acknowledge our frontline and CIB staff who responded to this incident and worked to apprehend the offender as quickly as possible.”
