Four injured in Taranaki single-vehicle car crash

Police attended a car crash in Taranaki last night where four people were injured, one seriously.

Four people were injured, one seriously, in a car crash at Ōkato in Taranaki last night.

Police said the single-vehicle crash occurred on South Rd at about 8.25pm.

One person sustained serious injuries, and the other three people were moderately injured.

South Rd is on State Highway 45, which runs on the western side of Taranaki. Ōkato is about 26km southwest of New Plymouth.

Police said the road was closed following the accident and reopened at about 10pm.
