The traffic chaos that included a 5km queue on Auckland's Southwestern Motorway is now subsiding.
Citybound traffic is easing, says the New Zealand Transport Agency, after this morning's queues following a crash.
The collision blocked the right northbound lane on the Southwestern Motorway just before Massey Rd, and back trafficback to the Southern Link.
Another crash blocked the Northern Motorway's citybound right lane after Oteha Valley this morning. Traffic was heavy between Oteha Valley Rd and Esmonde Rd.

Wellington traffic was heavy on State Highway 1 in the Ngauranga Gorge and motorists have been warned of strong winds on SH2 Rimutaka Hill, which could buffet high-sided vehicles or motorcycles.
