Auckland teen girl found ‘safe and well’ after missing nearly a week

The teen girl missing for nearly a week has been found safe and well.

Elizabeth, 16, whose surname was not supplied, had not been seen since Saturday, a police spokesman earlier said.

Her family had concerns for her safety.

But this morning it was confirmed she had been found after tips from the public, a police spokesperson said.

She was believed to be in downtown Auckland or the Karangahape Rd area, the spokesman said.

The last place her family saw her was at home in Torbay, about 25km away from where police said she might be.
