Transport Minister Steven Joyce and Auckland Mayor Len Brown today said they were working together to ensure public transport runs to plan to Eden Park on Saturday for the clash between Australia and Ireland.
Mr Joyce met Mr Brown and transport officials for one hour at the Auckland Town Hall
to discuss Friday's train shambles that led to at least 2000 people missing the action at Eden Park.
After the meeting, Mr Joyce said he was satisfied all the issues were being addressed and would be part of a report being prepared by Auckland Transport for Mr Brown.
The report will be made public tomorrow at a meeting of the council's accountability and performance committee.
Mr Joyce said the Government was responsible for delivering a successful Rugby World Cup, but said Auckland Transport was responsible for delivering public transport.
