Arrest made after Porirua stabbing

A man has been arrested following a fight in Porirua which left another man with stab wounds.

Police say trouble started when a 46-year-old man became involved in a confrontation with a female friend.

Officers arrived to find her with facial wounds but another man, a 22-year-old, got dragged into the brawl and ended up being stabbed.

He was treated at Wellington Hospital, as was the 26-year-old woman.
