Armed police have raided a Te Atatu South home following a shooting incident in the West Auckland suburb yesterday.
A man commented on social media this morning that police armed with "machine guns" raided an Amberley Ave home and he had seen people being led away in handcuffs.
A police
spokeswoman told the Herald this afternoon that police were following up on yesterday afternoon's incident in which a shots were fired at a car parked at a house in Springbank Lane, Te Atatu Peninsula.
"A warrant was conducted at the address in relation to yesterday's events in Te Atatu. In the course of police inquiries one person has been arrested on unrelated matters and was speaking with police.
"Inquiries into the events of yesterday are continuing."
