Anna Guy is sick of hearing rumours about the identity of the new man in her life.
Speaking for the first time since the country was gripped by the murder trial of her husband Ewen Macdonald, who was acquitted of killing her brother Scott, Guy confirmed the rumour mill wasrunning hot over her new relationship.
"I can be seen talking with any man at the moment and people think that's my new relationship. I feel like I can't talk to anyone or go anywhere," she said, exasperated.
It's no secret that Guy has split from Macdonald, the man acquitted in July but still locked up on other charges. Interest hasn't dwindled in Guy's lovelife as time has passed.
"I'm hearing a lot of rumours. It's never ending," she said.
A good-humoured Guy told the Herald on Sunday that she ended her relationship with Macdonald last October or November, although "technically" they were still married.
She felt the public's fascination with her private life was "bizarre" and had spun out of control. It was as if strangers who'd followed the trial now felt they knew her.
