In an Instagram post, the couple shared the exciting news, which was met with a flood of well-wishes from the rugby community.

“Baby Barrett 3.0 has arrived 🤍 we are all so smitten," the caption said.

The gender of the family’s new arrival is yet to be announced.

The happy couple announced the birth with a black-and-white photo of them looking at their newborn child in the hospital.

Barrett has also shared several other photos from the big day, including photos of their daughters meeting their new sibling.

The official Blues rugby team social media account shared its message of congratulations with the young family.

“We can’t wait to welcome baby. Special times,” they said.

In September last year, Hannah announced her pregnancy on social media.

Conducting a Q&A on her Instagram Stories while at the hairdresser’s, the influencer was asked if there were any more kids in their future or whether the couple were “content with 2?”

Barrett took this as an opportunity to announce her hapū status, replying, “Baby No 3 is on the way”.

The former accountant accompanied the post with a mirror selfie displaying her growing bump peeking out from a pair of striped pyjamas.

In a further slide, Barrett revealed the sex of the baby would be left a surprise. The couple have two daughters – Billie, born in 2020, and Coco, born in 2023.

Barrett went on to share the very thoughtful reason they decided to keep the pregnancy news under wraps for as long as they did.

“Haven’t felt the need to announce it. I know lots of people struggling with infertility or pregnancy complications, so if that’s you I’m sending lots of love xx,” she said.

The couple got married on Rakino Island in January 2019. They had been together four years when the rugby player proposed while the pair were holidaying in Fiji.

The Barretts’ baby news follows that of marketer Georgia O’Sullivan, 27, and All Black Damian McKenzie, 30, who also welcomed their first child this month.

The Gallagher Chiefs have confirmed to NZME that McKenzie and O’Sullivan are parents of a baby boy.

The Waikato power couple only revealed the pregnancy on social media in October, after a family holiday in Fiji, saying the baby was due in February.
