Air travel affected by fog

Thick fog has disrupted flights into and out of Auckland Airport this morning.

This morning, dozens of flights either delayed, or cancelled altogether.

Domestic travellers have suffered the worst of it. Flights on the regional routes to and from Whangarei, Tauranga, Gisborne, New Plymouth and Palmerston North have been scratched this morning.

Flights to and from Wellington and Christchurch were listed as 'delayed' at 11.30am.

A handful of incoming international flights have had to be diverted.
