Adam Stephen Fisher, 27, worked in the Perpetual Trust offices on the first floor of the Pyne Gould Corporation building as a financial analyst.

He was confirmed as one of the deceased by police in the weeks following the quake.

Adam was engaged to Becky Gane and had two children, three-year-old Jack and baby Ashton who was born 10 days after his father was killed.

His brother, Simon Fisher, told the Herald on March 1 that he had hardly slept during the week following the earthquake.

"I've had about six hours' sleep throughout the whole week," he said.

"I don't want to take sleeping tablets, because if I take sleeping tablets I'm afraid I'm going to miss something, like my cellphone will ring and I won't wake up."

Mr Fisher said soccer was a passion he and Adam shared: "He was just loving it - him and I, it's our big thing."
