A Hawkes Bay resident may have become $8.1 million richer after a Lotto ticket sold in Hastings won Powerball First Division last night.
Lotto said the winning ticket was sold at Unichem Stortford Lodge Pharmacy.
It was the ninth time this year that the top Powerball prize has been won.Five other Lotto players from Waipapa, Auckland, Lower Hutt and Ashburton are also celebrating after winning $166,667 each on Lotto First Division last night.
