18-year-old charged following Otara man's death

An 18-year-old has been charged with assault following the death of a South Auckland man on Sunday morning. Punoua Robert Harvey Tourangi, 21, of Otara, died from stab wounds in the forecourt of the Caltex service station on Great South Rd.

Police had earlier broken up a party nearby. They want anyone at the party, in Caspar Rd, or near the service station around 2.30am on Sunday to ring their hotline on (09) 259 0759.
