A 15-month-old girl has been flown to Rotorua Hospital in a serious condition after suffering seizures.
The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was sent to Murupara at 7.30am today, because the toddler needed an urgent transfer to hospital.
The girl was suffering seizures and needed immediate specialist care. A local fire crew
set up a landing pad for the helicopter.
The onboard paramedic stablised the girl and she was flown to Rotorua Hospital in a serious condition.
