Two Far North tribes have agreed to combine to negotiate a settlement of the Muriwhenua land claim.
Te Aupouri and Ngati Kuri hope to meet Treaty Negotiations Minister Margaret Wilson this month.
Matiu Wiki, Winiata Brown, George Witana, Waiti Petera and John Walters were appointed Te Aupouri negotiators during a hui at Ngataki.
The Ngati Kuri negotiators are Andrew Christie, Graeme Neho, Tom Bowling Murray, Paul Norman and Aperahama Heemi.
