Lorde calls on fans to help her with tour wardrobe

Lorde is preparing for an upcoming tour - and she needs your help with her on-stage attire.

The 21-year-old singer has this afternoon tweeted an appeal for band merchandise to fans saying she wants to "rep my heroes" during her upcoming tour.

Her latest album Melodrama was released in June.

The Auckland-born songstress is about to embark on a tour of the US.

Today she tweeted a request for "genuine authentic" merchandise for artists including Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Phil Collins.

Lorde, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, said she would trade the items for a "home drawn" T-shirt.
